#Thoughtsnotes : feeling bad

Hi guys, i am back with yet another post, sharing some part of my life and current thoughts. So, as i have mentioned in the previous post, i am currently on an internship with a pretty well known German company. So far, i have been enjoying working there even tho there are so much to handle every single day. But i truly appreciate the chance given to me there, as well as the warm welcome from all the colleagues. Esp , my supervisor and a few of my colleagues that i’m closer to. i am pretty sure that i will miss them so much after these 5 months.

That aside, let me dive straight into the point of this post…..

I’m not too sure if you guys know, (probably only the few that follows my blog) that i have a very weak immune system. I tend to get sick really easily, esp Tonsillitis companied with high fever, cramps (from previous surgery), flu etc.

Its the time of the month again, tots not referring to my period. But my tonsils are enlarged again, this time with multiple huge ulcers that actually creeps me out.. i feel so bad for taking 3 days mc as i have already took 2 days medical leave 2 weeks back. I am just super paranoid right now, thinking that how my colleagues would deem me and kinda lose trust in my working attitude. I’m being 100% honest here, that i put all my heart into this job and i cherish the opportunity given to me even tho i might not work in this field in the future years… i feel bad and guilty that i have to take time off from work. i know i am just an intern and shouldn’t be so hard on myself , furthermore , the department would still able to continue working without me . i merely have any case/ “responsibilities” on hand either .

But honestly speaking, i take pride in my work and my existence in the office even tho i might not be of much help. Maybe just slight assistance to any senior that needs me. I do enjoy being able to help them , be it just a small matter. I wanna prove it to them that i have the capability to do well and trust me fully. (not just a yp , interning at their territory)

#thoughtsnotes : goodwill

Hey guys, today I just wanna share something heartwarming I encountered in the morning. Ever since I started interning, I have been taking uber every morning due to my laziness which also led me to being super lack of time in the working morning. Today was my first taking uber pool to work as I still had abit of time and didn’t mind the traveling time w another passenger. However , thru out the ride I realized that there was something different. The driver was handicapped and he was telling me that the gps stopped working thru hand gestures. I somehow got it.

At the point of time, we were stranded at fusion polis and we had to reach the newly located Mediacorp . The passenger onboard had no idea how to get there either. But thankfully, it’s the second time the uber driver drove her to work, so we kinda got there in about 3-5min w his contextual knowledge. THANK GOD!! Meanwhile, I was quite late for work (Booo…) I had 10 mins more to reach my destination. We tried communicate thru universal hand signs and thankfully we got there in time!! Perhaps, even ahead of time!! Woohoo

Honestly, I was really impressed by his patience and even tho he had disabilities, I could tell that he tried his best to do his job well. In fact , his customer service could surpass normal uber drivers !!;))

Eyelash extension woes

So recently, I’ve been really obsessed with my eyelashes, and I have been wanting to get my eye lash done for the longest time!! I’ve watched so many reviews on how bad eye lashes extension could be to your real lashes, but I was too stubborn and my desire such temporary beauty was over the top. Nevertheless, I went for it! It was pretty amazing for the first 1.5 months. However, things started to get bad after that short span of “tempo beauty “. It started with one quarter of my eyelash extensions coming straight of the inner corner of my eye. It kinda was dangling there for about 2 days and my right eye was super irritated. I had an infection eye after that. But, again I had only myself to blame:(

I rmb it was in the middle of the night, both of my eyes got really itchy (due to the glue from the lashes , as well as the dust accumulated underneath it) both ends of my extensions came off:( . Sadly, accompanied by my real lashes as well!!!(WTFFFF)

My lashes are now almost bare and even more sparse than before as all the lashes came off w the extensions:((((

I really hope my lashes will grow back asap:((( I don’t even think I need mascara anymore :(((( I barely even have any left.

Meanwhile, I’m still in dilemma whether I shld go back for more extension while waiting for my lashes to grow back.:(((

Guess I’ll prolly stick to falsies w easier removal then such semi permanent extensions:(

Paddy hills review

Hi guys, I’m finally back from a very very very long hiatus. I’ve been busy with so many sch work as well as some personal issues. Nevertheless, I’m back!! So yesterday, my bf and I visted Paddy hills, located at south buona vista. To our astonishment, we found out that it replaced a very popular duck rice store way way way back in the days! (Ermm okay it’s not way way way back la …. It’s probably only abt 5-10 years back) .
Okay, moving on…

The ambience of the store was pretty cozy , I kinda like this western cafe touch to its furnish. Their customer service was alright, but I guess they were too busy to bother hahahha

For the food, (insert photos)

It’s was honestly not up to my expectation:( we tried the Crab Roll, Hei Rice and Prawn paste wings. I guess I’m most satisfied w the wings as it’s very flavorful and crispy. While the crab roll was horrible (to me) ….. I’m sorry to say but it really was quite awful and it’s freaking $28SGD?!?!? What the..zzz

Surprisingly, Le-picky-eater-BF was enjoying his Hei Rice. It’s a pretty unique dish w a huge tonkatsu (hohoho cheapo)!!!!!

I guess we just didn’t make enough researches before dropping by the store… The food was just so-so…. I saw many having Ramen risotto and berry hot cakes. But I wasn’t very much feeling for those 2 popular dishes , so I opted for the crab roll :((((( aww man it’s a waste …

Hmmm, I guess it’s not too bad after all la. It’s worth a try but my name wouldn’t fall into the returning customer list .

Overall about 5/10? I would say.

My surgery

Many of you were pretty curious about my surgery and what exactly i had undergone. So here it is!

It all started towards the end of 2015, whr i would always get extremely painful menstrual-like cramps even when i was not on my period. I did not give it much thought back then, i thought i’ll be good after popping some painkillers. However, things got worse as time passed. The discomfort on my abdominal area was getting unbearable, it even got to a point where my body was falling apart. So, by the following day, i visited a clinic down my street. I told the doc about my cramps and all the other little details, but he was unsure about my illness and recommended me to give it check at a specialist if the pain still didn’t subside in 2 weeks time. About one week later, i told my mum about it and she brought me straight to a specialist (gynecologist) at Gleneagles Hospital, where i met Dr Chew. At first, we were still unsure as to whether the problem lie in my ovaries or the intestines. After the report,ultrasound and the blood test, Dr Chew confirmed that it was Endometriosis. In layman terms, the back-flow of menstrual blood where the cells of the tissue lining (uterus) travels to other parts of the body and starts growing(into blood clots/tumors). The areas that would be affected by these misplaced cells include, the ovaries & fallopian tubes (which might hinder conceiving) , behind the uterus, area between vagina and rectum ( which made me have diarrhoea) and the pelvis.

Later in the week, i had my surgery done and was hospitalized for a few days. The doc cleared out all the blood clots and a (o.5*0.35*0.25 tumor….. not really sure) !!! i had 2 stitches on my lower tummy, wasn’t able to move as much for the subsequent days, but i recovered pretty quickly! AND AS FOR NOW I AM FULLY(70%) RECOVERED!!! THANK GOD!! But i still have to visit the doc for regular checkups and jabs. Also, not forgetting the bag full of medication i have to take every single day (hopefully not) for the rest of my life:( as the doc said that the blood clots would still reappear 😦

SO,GIRLS BE AWARE!!! Especially discomfort in the abdominal area /menstrual cramps. Please go for a thorough check if the pain is too excruciating!

P.S* the fees were so expensive, aprx (17-20K), i was shocked for a good 10 mins!! But health over wealth!! pretty sure it can be claimed from insurance:)
